The Samanid Dynasty (819\u2013999 CE)<\/strong> was a Persian dynasty that ruled over a large part of Central Asia<\/strong> and Greater Iran<\/strong>, with its heartland in Transoxiana<\/strong> (modern-day Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and parts of Turkmenistan).   • The Samanid dynasty was founded by Saman Khuda<\/strong>, a nobleman from the Persian<\/strong> region of Balkh<\/strong> (in present-day Afghanistan).<\/li>
